A Shreveport student, Alexandra K. Prymek has won a $1,500 scholarship awarded this year by the Louisiana state council (LCOC) of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA).

Prymek, who has accepted an appointment to the Air Force Academy, is a 2017 graduate of Caddo Parish Magnet High School in Shreveport.  She is the daughter of James and Sandra Prymek.

She won the scholarship in competition with 10 other applicants upon selection by a three-member panel of LCOC members from around the state.
