A Alexandria student, Carsyn R. Travis has won a $1,500 scholarship award this year by the Louisiana State Council (LCOC) of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA).

Travis who has been accepted at the Louisiana Tech University, is a 2018 graduate of Alexandria Senior High School and graduated with a weighted GPA of 4.36.

She won the Scholarship in competition with 9 other applicants upon selection by a three member panel of LCOC members from around the State.
